Omalloor `vayal vanibhom' begins tomorrow

PATHANAMTHITTA: Omalloor vayal vanibhom, the annual agriculture fair in the district, will begin at Omalloor near here on March 15.

District Panchayat president Appinazhakathu Santhakumari will inaugurate the fair at a function to be held at the panchayat community hall at Omalloor on Thursday forenoon.

Grama panchayat president K.G. Anitha will preside over the meeting. District Panchayat member Seema Ramchandran, Block Panchayat members M.K. Purushothaman, Shyni Aby Abraham and Grama Panchyat member G. Guruprasad address the inaugural meeting.

Deputy Director of Agriculture P.S. Soman will inaugurate the agriculture seminar to be held in the afternoon. Avian Research Institute Assistant Director Dr. K. Unnikrishnn will deliver the keynote address at a seminar on animal husbandry to be held on Friday.

A cultural meet will be held on Saturday. K. Sivadasan Nair, MLA, will inaugurate the meeting and Ms. K.G. Anitha will preside.
