MOHALI: Kamal Chawla rallied to beat Sandeep Gulati 13-10 and win the Vishnu Pal Singh memorial all-India Open 9-ball pool tournament at the Mohali Club on Tuesday. Chawla, who made it to the quarterfinals in the National snooker championship in Bangalore, continued his good form and struck the title here. Chawla was trailing throughout the final in the race to 13 contest, but he caught up with his Gulati after 17 frames. With scores 7-10, Chawla eked out frame after frame to win the title. The results: Final: Kamal Chawla bt Sandeep Gulati 13-10. Semifinals: Chawla bt Amit Verma 11-2, Gulati bt Sameer Bhalla 11-8.
