New arrivals at Delhi Zoo
With the crucial one-month period behind them, the three white tiger cubs born in Delhi Zoo on February 3 are doing well, according to a zoo official.
"Born to tigress Kaveri and tiger Suraj, the cubs are doing fine and are being fed by their mother. Two of the cubs are female and one a male," said the official.
Says Zoo director D. N. Singh: "The new births are an indication of the healthy environment provided at Delhi Zoo for the big cats. The cubs are under observation and we will keep an eye on them for the next couple of months. The cubs will feed on mother's milk for about six months after which we will introduce them to meat.'' -- Bindu Shajan Perappadan
