JNU Chancellor

NEW DELHI : Eminent scientist and the former University Grants Commission Chairman, Yash Pal, has been appointed Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University here. He succeeds Karan Singh, whose term expired on February 28.

The notification by the Union Human Resource Development Ministry appointing Professor Yash Pal was received by the University a week ago, said JNU Rector Rajendra Prasad on Tuesday.
