Delhi Metro railway services disrupted

NEW DELHI: Metro Rail services between Indraprastha and Barakhamba Road stations on Line 3 were affected for two hours on Tuesday due to a "point failure" problem.

The failure occurred at 10-32 a.m. at Indraprastha station, owing to which trains had to be operated every 15 minutes instead of every five minutes between Indraprastha and Barakhamba Road stations.

Normal services were resumed after 12-39 p.m. Operations on Lines 1 and 2 and between Dwarka Sector 9 and Barakhamba Road on Line 3 were unaffected.

Seminar on criminal justice system

NEW DELHI: As part of its golden jubilee celebrations, the Indian Law Institute is organising a national seminar on "Delay in administration of criminal justice system" at Vigyan Bhavan here this coming Saturday.

President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is expected to inaugurate the seminar, while Supreme Court Chief Justice K. G. Balakrishnan will preside.

The seminar will be attended by judges, lawyers, professors and law students from across the country.

Jamia Millia fest

from Saturday

NEW DELHI: Algorhythm, the Annual Technical Fest of Jamia Millia Islamia's Computer Society of India, begins here this Saturday.

The two-day all-India fest will comprise 20 different events.

The guests of honour will be Adobe Systems India Managing Director Naresh Gupta, Jamia Hamdard University Vice-Chancellor Shamim Ahmad and Jamia Millia Islamia Vice-Chancellor Mushirul Hasan.
