List of people hit by tsunami released

Chennai:
The Chennai Collectorate has released the draft list of tsunami-affected families for whom 1,770 permanent houses have been proposed in Srinivasapuram.
A release from the Chennai Collectorate said on Tuesday that the list had been displayed in the localities where the families lived and in the following places:
Chennai Collectorate; Tahsildar's Office, Mylapore - Triplicane Taluk; Chennai Corporation Zone 10 Office, Lattice Bride Road, Adyar;
Ward 150 office, Loop Second Street, Mandaveli;
E5 Police Station, Pattinapakkam and; the Slum Clearance Board on Kamarajar Salai.
The affected persons after seeing the list can submit their complaints about inclusion or non-inclusion of their names. Such complaints must be accompanied by documents for proof and handed over to the Collectorate or the Tahsildar's Office by March 24.
The final list for whom the permanent houses would be allotted would be prepared after that date, the release added.
