Children of Bala Mandir, T.Nagar, had a fun-filled day on Tuesday when `Pacific Trends', a seven-member rock band of the United States Air Force based in Japan, performed for them.

The band is making a special stop in Chennai and Kolkata before participating in the Indian Air Force Platinum Jubilee celebrations in New Delhi.

Bala Mandir has over 700 orphan and underprivileged children. The programme was held at German Hall in T. Nagar. In the evening, the band performed at the Museum theatre in Egmore, giving Chennai residents the best of American rock `n' roll, Reggae and country western music.
