Why vendors love them

Swathi Shivanand

BANGALORE: There is no incentive for traders to use less plastic and shift to other alternative methods, according to Sukhprit Kaur, programme officer at Centre for Environment Education. Also despite their harmful nature, their inherent qualities of being resistant to water and their capacity to hold heavy things, make plastics appealing to the vendors.
