Banks not to finance investment in KVPs

CHENNAI: The Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday asked banks not to sanction loans for acquisition of or investing in small savings instruments, including Kisan Vikas Patras (KVPs) since grant of such loans does not promote fresh savings.
