THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on Wednesday unveiled the bust of music director G. Devarajan at Althara Junction here on Wednesday. Sculpted by artist Sidhan, the bust was installed by the Malayalam Cinema Technicians Association (MACTA) at a function organised in connection with the first death anniversary of Devarajan. Ms. Devarajan, former Minister P.J. Joseph, Playback singer Madhuri and members of the MACTA Musicians Union were present at the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Achuthanandan said Devarajan's music would endure for all time. He said the troika of Devarajan, K. Raghavan and M.S. Baburaj had created a unique style of music in Malayalam. Mr. Achuthanandan said Devarajan had remained a Communist throughout his life.
