Nikitha Maria
Kollam: Four-year-old Nikitha Maria is a cheerful girl in spite of the fact that she is fighting to keep herself alive. Her fight is with leukaemia. Hailing from a poor family, she lives with her grandparents at the Tillery Mission Compound in the city. She knows that she is carrying on her fight with the support from philanthropists. As the aid dwindles, her grandparents are worried. Nikitha is under treatment at the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. The treatment is expensive and the family can hardly afford it, says her grandfather, John Stephen.
