Dry weather in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were above normal at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, north interior Karnataka, appreciably above normal at a few places over coastal Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Raichur and Palakkad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius in the region.

The minimum temperature rose at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh, rose appreciably at one or two places over interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, fell appreciably at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were above normal at one or two places over Rayalaseema, Telangana, south interior Karnataka, being appreciably so at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably being so at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Arogyavaram recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

Forecast (Valid until Saturday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, north Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Forecast for Chennai City and Neighbourhood (Valid until Saturday morning): Partly cloudy sky. Maximum temperature will be around 33 degree Celsius and minimum temperature will be around 24 degree Celsius.

Farmers Weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry (Valid until Saturday morning): Mainly fair weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Outlook for Subsequent Two Days: Fair weather.
