BANGALORE:
Joseph M. Hogan, President and CEO, GE Healthcare, told reporters here on Thursday that its six facilities in India, including the Bangalore-based Wipro GE Healthcare, could expect more investment and their staff already formed one-third of the technical staff worldwide.
"The Indian facilities are developing a whole range of new diagnostics products, including a portable ECG machine programmed to provide outputs to a general physician can use," Mr. Hogan said.
GE Healthcare India's head, V. Raja, said, , the portable ECG, which would cost around Rs. 30,000, would reduce cardiac diagnostic expenses for patients and the company would initially make 15,000 units.
