Comedy may be his forte but actor Paresh Rawal is comfortable even essaying villainous and serious roles. Not wanting to be labelled as a comedian, the actor says: "It is just that my comedy-based films have been more successful than other films. Directors have realised my talent and imposed immense faith in my ability to deliver." Paresh's favourite film is "Sardar Patel" in which he played the protagonist. "When filmmaker Ketan Mehta gave me the lead role in `Sardar Patel', I was doing only villainous roles. After that I did films like `Hera Pheri' in which I shared an excellent on-screen chemistry with Akshay Kumar. I also enjoyed doing `Garam Masala'," said Paresh at a press conference here to announce launch of his serial "Teen Bahuraaniyaan" on Zee TV. "I feel Naseeruddin is the Number One actor. The second best is none other than Big B. Amitabhji is a tremendous actor and I have enjoyed watching his earlier films like `Saat Hindustani'. He is the only star in the country who has remained Number One through his acting prowess alone. Even at this age, he is able to deliver the goods." Satisfied with his work in "Hattrick" that is up for release in theatres across the country this Friday, Paresh says: "I think every Indian is fond of cricket. This film gave me a chance to play a different kind of role. I also have `Chini Kam' lined up for release in which I play Tabu's dad. In this film also I am playing a cricket lover." On his upcoming serial, Paresh says it is neither a tearjerker nor the typical "saas-bahu'' saga. "Every family has a different perception of sorrow and happiness. Daughters-in-law in our country have to sacrifice a lot. They have to leave their parents' home and then adjust with a new family. So we have shown their perception of life," says Paresh.
