Rupee stages recovery


MUMBAI: The rupee ended higher at 44.19/20 on Thursday against the U.S. currency, expecting more foreign funds on stabilisation in equity markets after overnight meltdown.

In lacklustre activity at the interbank foreign exchange market, the Indian unit opened strong at 44.19/20 a dollar and was trapped in a narrow range of 44.19 and 44.25 before concluding at the opening level of 44.19/20 against 44.2450/2525. — PTI
