New rules proposed for IDRs

CHENNAI: The Union Ministry of Company Affairs has proposed certain changes in the rules notified in 2004 for issue of Indian Depository Receipts (IDRs) with a view to bringing them in line with regulations and practices in other countries, including the U.S. and the U.K., to facilitate IDR issues by foreign companies.
