KOLKATA: Sandeep Choudhary of Rajasthan sent top-seed Manoj Kumar Sewa packing with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 verdict in the quarterfinals of the men's singles of the Central Excise AITA Open grasscourt tennis championship here on Thursday. In another upset, V.M. Ranjeeth of Tamil Nadu defeated fourth seed Yannick Nelord of Delhi 6-1, 6-4. Ragini Vimal and Jilke Nelord won the women's doubles after Asha Nanda Kumar and Krushmi Chedda conceded the final. Both the pairs were tied at one set all.
