`Kalinga Ratna' award for former CJI

CUTTACK: Former Chief Justice of India Ranganath Mishra has been selected for the `Kalinga Ratna' award.

Instituted for the first time this year by the Sarala Sansad, a leading cultural organisation in the State, the award would be conferred on Mr. Justice Mishra at its annual function on March 19, said the sansad's founder-secretary Pravakar Swain.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur would present the award, which consists of a silver bust of goddess Sarala, bronze plaque and a citation, Mr. Swain said.
