THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: `Butterflies The angels of nature,' produced by the State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) was adjudged the best children's film of 2006 at the All-India Children's Educational Audio-Video Festival, which concluded here on Thursday. SIET, Kerala, also bagged the award for the best educational technology institute in the country by winning seven awards in various categories, including panorama, choreography, overall performance and award for the best children's film in the category of 9 to 11 years. Babu Sebastian, director, SIET, received the awards from Utpal Mallik, joint director, Central Institute of Educational Technology. A total of 10 video and two audio productions competed at the festival. `Poopy' directed by K.S. Madhu won four awards, including the award for the best programme in the 5 to 8 years category, best editing, best direction and best graphical animation. The other awards went to `Garden of Eden Part IV (`Birds our winged friends,' 9 -11 years category), `Asha' (audio-programme, 5-18 years category), best script (video), inertia and best sound (video) `I have got ten little fingers.'
