BANGALORE: Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph on Thursday called upon society to recognise and value the contribution of women who cared for their families and brought up their children. He was speaking at a International Women's Day function organised on the High Court premises by the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) and the All India Federation of Women Lawyers, Karnataka chapter. Lauding the contribution of women who had devoted and sacrificed their lives to uplift their families, the Chief Justice said the role of such women should be recognised and remembered. He asked the gathering to introspect what women's emancipation and empowerment meant.
