BANGALORE: His father won a Grammy after jamming with blues legend Ry Cooder for the album "A Meeting by the River". And now Salil Bhatt, the creator of the satvik veena, which is based on the mohan veena invented by his father Vishwamohan Bhatt, has collaborated with Canadian and Australian musicians and brought out two music albums. The first album, "Slide to Freedom", which he brought out in collaboration with Doug Cox, a blues guitarist from Canada, with Ramkumar Mishra on the tabla, is a combination of Indian classical music and blues. Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt performs as a guest artiste for the number, "Father Kirwani". The other album, "Out of the Shadows", which he brought out with Australian guitarist Lawrie Minson, comes along with a DVD on Mr. Minson's visit to India.
