Action will be taken complete rail overbridge work: Minister

Rs. 121 crore nod for roadworks in Salem

SALEM: Highways Minister M. P. Saminathan said that the government had sanctioned Rs. 121 crore for road works in Salem district.

After inaugurating the multimedia campaign here on Saturday, the Minister said that various road and road improvement works were being undertaken. He also inspected road works in the district. Accompanied by officials and Collector N. Mathivanan he went to Magudanchavadi where the works of the Rail over Bridge (RoB) remained incomplete for long. Mr. Saminathan promised them that necessary action would be taken up to complete the same and the RoB at Omalur. The Minister inaugurated the `Varummun Kappom' scheme at Poolavari village here.
