VIJAYAWADA : Parvati Melton, the American-born Punjabi `kudi' who made her mark in some of the recent movies of Tollywood, charmed the city's appearance-conscious men and women at the inauguration of the new spacious premises of Anoo's salon and clinic on Saturday.

Parvati, who made her debut in Telugu films with Vennela and subsequently acted in films like Game, Madhumasam and Allarey Allari, looked ravishingly attractive in her figure-hugging trouser and sleeveless shirt, and became lensmen's instant favourite as she flashed her radiant smile while occasionally throwing back her silky hair.

    Health is wealth

Going round the salon and clinic, Parvati keenly listened to the explaining done by the sister trio behind the Anoo's - C. Anuradha, P. Annapurna and T. Anupama - about the array of services available there for both men and women.

Talking to newspersons, Parvati said that she was impressed by the broad range of services available under a single roof at the Anoo's.

"In the stress-ridden life like ours, it is essential to stay healthy and here it is possible," she remarked.

The sisters said that the clinic would offer services in the area of weight management, laser hair removal, hair re-growth, spa and skin care. The salon would offer services for men as well, which would be a departure from the 25-year-old practice of Anoo's to restrict its services exclusively to women.

    Business policy

Anoo's director T. Pradeep Rao said that the Anoo's had been in Vijayawada since 1996, operating from a relatively smaller premises in K.P. Colony.

In line with the policy of moving to business localities, the new spacious salon and clinic had been opened in the first floor of Matha Towers in the service road adjacent to the Ring Road near Nirmala High School.
