CHENNAI: Seventeen-year-old Satish was found dead on Saturday under suspicious circumstances on Tiru Vi Ka School playground at Shenoy Nagar. He was a student of a private tutorial college and working as a peon in a private company at Aminjikarai. On Friday evening, he left home on his cycle, informing his parents that he was visiting his friends at Tirumangalam. But he never returned. His parents, residing at Muthumari Amman Colony off Nelson Manickam Road, lodged a complaint with the police. The police found his body in the bushes behind the school on Saturday morning. His cycle, a half- sovereign gold ring and a wristwatch were missing.
House burgled
Jewellery and cash worth Rs.10 lakh were stolen from a software professional's house at Abiramapuram on Friday. Pooja (30) left for work around noon on that day. Her husband, Austin, is working in Karur Vysya Bank in New Delhi. When Pooja returned home around 11 p.m. on Saturday, she found the house broken into and the bureau open. The Abhiramapuram police are investigating.
