VIJAYAWADA : Local MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has appealed to External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, U.S. ambasaddor David C. Mulford and Indian ambassador in the U.S. Ronen Sen to take the initiative for the release of V. Sujith Kumar, a student hailing from Nizamabad and pursuing studies at the University of Missouri, who was arrested in Rolla (U.S.) on the charges of making a false bomb threat and resisting arrest. In separate letters to the three on Saturday, Mr. Rajagopal said that Mr. Kumar was suffering from severe depression and was in dire financial situation, which contributed to his strange behaviour. But in reality, Mr. Kumar was a docile character and had been good at studies all through.
