BAGHDAD: Seven U.S. soldiers were killed and five others wounded in separate incidents in Iraq, the U.S. military said on Sunday. Four U.S soldiers assigned to Multi-National Division - Baghdad were killed and one was injured in a roadside bomb attack while conducting a joint patrol with Iraqi security forces in western Baghdad on Saturday, the military said in a statement. Following the attack, militants opened small arms fire, wounding another soldier, the statement added. In a separate incident, a fifth soldier was killed and three others were wounded when their unit was conducting a joint dismounted patrol with Iraqi forces south of the capital, the military said in another statement. In addition, another soldier was killed after being shot while conducting operations in Baquba. Xinhua
