KOLKATA: A bomb exploded damaging a portion of the wall that forms the periphery of the Tata Motors' project site at Singur in West Bengal's Hooghly district early on Sunday. A few more bombs were unearthed in the vicinity. Experts belonging to the bomb squad were later sent to the area. The police are investigating the incident. Though there have been no arrests, it is suspected that those behind the explosion belonged to the Trinamool Congress-led Krishi Jami Raksha (Save Farmland Committee), which is spearheading a campaign against the setting up of the car-manufacturing project there. Construction work in the site area is continuing with nearly 1,000 workers engaged in setting up the main plant.
