Multimedia campaign to begin from March 21

Free medical and veterinary camps to be held

Krishnagiri: A 10-day multimedia campaign highlighting the schemes and activities of the State Government will be held in Krishnagiri district from March 21 to 30, said Collector Santhosh Babu here on Monday.

Various departments of the State Government, including Information and Publicity, Family Welfare, Arivoli, District Rural Development Agency, Revenue, Education, Small Savings, Social Welfare, Forests, TAHDCO, Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Horticulture and Cooperation will participate in the campaign.

Mr. Babu said that 30 stalls would be installed at the exhibition. Products made by self-help groups would also be displayed during the campaign. Distribution of pamphlets, handbills and a slide show on schemes and activities of State Government would be conducted in all panchayat headquarters as part of the campaign.

The Department of Arts and Culture and Song and Drama Division would conduct culture programmes on all days of the campaign. Besides this, free medical and veterinary camps would also be held in villages.
