Tirunelveli: Selvamurugan's unbeaten 107 helped Double Star `B' Cricket Club defeat National Engineering College by six wickets in the Tirunelveli District Cricket Association second division league here on Sunday.

The scores (First Division): Double Star CC `A' 191 in 27 overs (Palani five for 16) bt Selva CC `A' 98 in 18 overs.

Majestic CC 125 in 23 overs lost to GK CC 127 for six in 24 overs.

Melborne CC 229 for eight in 39 overs (Kulfi 51, Manoj 51 n.o.) bt ICRC 125 in 33 overs (Blessing 43).

Selva CC `A' 223 in 30 overs (Kannan 67, A. Prakash four for 18) bt South Star CC 202 in 27 overs (Anto 82, Palani four for 48).

Majestic CC 166 for eight in 35 overs (Krishnan 41, Tilak 45) bt Lightning CC 140 in 31 overs.

Melborne CC 134 in 29 overs (Vairam Muthu four for 19) lost to Double Star CC `A' 138 for six in 22 overs (Stalin 50).

Second Division: ICRC (old) 118 in 20 overs lost to King Dharma CC 119 for five in 16 overs.

Selva CC `B' 121 for seven in 20 overs bt National Engg. College 97 in 17 overs (Thanga Pandi five for three).

National Engg. College 166 for five in 20 overs (Ibrahim 64 n.o.) lost to Double Star CC `B' 167 for four in 18 overs (Selva murugan 107 n.o.). King Dharma CC 193 for six in 20 overs (Paulraj 78, Yoganathan 43) bt Seven Star CC 117 for six in 20 overs (Selvam 49).

Match ends in a draw

At Tiruchi, BHEL and MPH Albert MFC played out a 2-2 draw in a Tiruchi District Football Association first division league tie on Monday.

Arivalagan opened the scoring for BHEL in the seventh minute, but Arun equalised soon. BHEL once again gained the lead through Nityanandan early in the second-half. Charles levelled the scores minutes later.

The results: BHEL 2 (Arivalagan, Nityanandan) drew with MPH Albert 2 (Arun, Charles).
