TIRUCHI: College students should get beyond theoretical learning to have an exposure to activities that broaden their mind-set and skill enhancement, according to A.X. Alexander, former Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu. A good student must develop good debating and writing capabilities simultaneously, and imbibe analytical skills as well. The institutions have a crucial role to play in this regard, he said presiding over the 84th College Day celebrations at the Holy Cross College here on Saturday. A good institution was one, which culled out the latent talent of its students and pulled out the sparkle buried in them. More than what subject a student was studying, the important thing was how a student studies and trains his or her mind.
