HYDERABAD: Rahul Banerjee of Steel Plant and C.H. Lenin of Andhra Pradesh clinched the honours in the men's recurve and compound categories respectively in the inaugural National circuit archery championship at Lal Bahadur Stadium that concluded here on Monday. The top four who competed in the final rounds qualified to represent India in the forthcoming World Cup and not just the winner, according to Anil Kamineni, secretary-general of Archery Association of India. The results (final placings): Men's recurve: 1. Rahul Banerjee (SPSB) 62 points, 2. Tarundeep Rai (SSCB), 3. Harish Karai (SSCB), 4. Priyank (U.P.). Men's compound: 1. C.H.Lenin (AP) 57 points, 2. Palton Hansda (Jhar), 3. Rajwant Singh (Del), 4. Chungda Sherpa (SSCB). Women's recurve: 1. Chakrovolu Swuro (Nagaland) 60 points, 2. Dola Banerjee (Railways), 3. Sushma (U.P.), 4. L.Bombayla Devi (Rlys). Women's compound: 1. Jhanu Hansda (Jhar) 52 points, 2. Sakro Besra (Rlys), 3. KH. Bhagyabati Chanu (Jhar), 4. Namita Yadav (Jhar).
