Achuthanandan leaves takeover issue to Centre

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The next step towards the proposed transfer of the Thiruvananthapuram-based Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology from the Kerala Government to the Union Government should come from the Union Government, Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan told the Assembly on Tuesday.

Allocation

Replying to a submission from Congress MLA V.D. Satheeshan, he said the current year's Union Budget had an allocation for the takeover of this State Government institution by the Centre.
