Yakubu scores winner

Margao: An injury time goal by Yusif Yakubu guided Mahindra United to a 1-0 win over New Radiant of Maldives to post its second successive win in Group E of the AFC Cup tournament at Nehru Stadium here on Tuesday.

Yakubu netted a rebound off goalkeeper Sadun Devindra after Andrew Pomeyie had taken a shot at goal. Mahindras, which dominated the match throughout created several scoring chances, could have easily won by a bigger margin had Pomeyie and Yakubu converted several chances. — PTI
