MOSCOW: Trilateral cooperation between India, Russia and China will benefit regional and global development, Chinese President Hu Jintao said Tuesday. ``Trilateral cooperation between China, Russia and India is not aimed against any third party, and is beneficial for the development of the three nations and the world at large," the Chinese leader said in an interview to Russian media in Beijing ahead of his visit to Russia later this month. The three nations, which played an increasingly important role in the global arena, had shared interests and see eye to eye on many key issues of international concern, Mr. Hu said. ``All the three countries advocate a multi-polar world, the democratisation of international relations, and the preservation of world diversity; they want international issues and interstate disputes to be settled on the basis of universally accepted norms of international law and they seek a stronger role for the United Nations," the Chinese leader was quoted as saying by the RIA-Novosti news agency. Mr. Hu noted that the three nations also cooperated in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), where India had an observer status. He said that the SCO was preparing a document on further expansion.
