IBM to expand research activities

BANGALORE: IBM on Tuesday announced major plans for expansion of operations at its research centres in India, including the lab in Bangalore. The expansion of research facilities will be related to software, services and systems businesses as well as client collaborations in India. The research centres are now working on a standards-driven, secure and cost-effective infrastructure to coordinate health care information through a system that includes, central, state and local governments, as well as private providers, for both rural and urban locations.
