CHENNAI: Accenture is expanding its management consulting capabilities in India to serve clients globally and support its clients in the domestic market. The company proposes to have 2,000 management consulting professionals in Chennai by the end of August 2008, according to a release. Expanding its management consulting capabilities in India will complement the capabilities that it has in technology and outsourcing, benefiting both domestic and overseas clients, according to Mark Foster, Accenture's Group Chief Executive (Management Consulting & Integrated Markets). He said India had a talented workforce with strong intellectual and research and development capabilities that could benefit Accenture clients around the globe. The company was actively recruiting management consultants, professionals, and graduates from top business schools, he added. The expansion of Accenture's management consulting capabilities included additional growth in the company's consulting analytics centre in Delhi. The centre provided the company's global client base with access to consulting skills such as customer, marketing and data analytics; marketing automation and campaign management; and enterprise performance management.
