Moscow: At least 63 persons, mostly senior citizens, were charred to death and 33 others injured when a fire broke out in an old age home in a south Russian village. The fire broke out shortly after midnight, according to Vesti TV channel. However, the fire brigades could reach the site only after more than an hour as the nearest fire station at the city of Yeisk is situated over 50km away. A total of 97 persons were staying at the facility in Kamyshevatskaya village of Kuban region in Russia, officials said. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
