United Nations: United States has issued visas to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his entourage of 38 aides and security staff to enable him to address the United Nations Security Council when it votes on a new sanctions resolution on his country. ``It's been approved,'' State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said on Monday of the visa request submitted by the Iranian leader last week and ahead of the Security Council action expected in the coming days. It is not yet clear when the Council will meet to adopt the resolution drafted by five permanent members of the Council the United States, Britain, Russia, France and China and Germany, which holds the presidency of the European Union. The draft was circulated to the ten non-permanent members of the Council who had sent it to their governments for instruction over the weekend.
