Dacoits loot passengers of Guwahati Express

BANGALORE: Armed dacoits threatened the passengers of the Guwahati Express and robbed them of gold ornaments, mobile phones and other valuables, estimated at Rs. 1.5 lakh early on Tuesday between K.R. Puram and Whitefield. The dacoits stabbed a woman passenger, Pappu, with a knife when she tried to resist them, the police said. Two of the victims were identified as Mohammed Barkath and Raghunath, both silk merchants from Bihar.
