KOLLAM: A march will be taken out to the office of the Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies here soon under the banner of the Janadhipathya Sahakarana Vedi in protest against the dissolution of the Director Board of the Kollam District Cooperative Bank. In a statement here on Tuesday, Vedi district chairman and former District Congress Committee (DCC) president Sooranad Rajashekaran said a meeting of leaders in the cooperative sector would be held at the DCC office in this connection on Wednesday. He pointed out that under the management of the dissolved Director Board the bank had made a profit of Rs.4.75 crore during 2005-06. But the board was dissolved citing petty reasons. The operations of the bank had even become a model to others.
