Contempt case against Vice-Chancellor

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has directed the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar of Mahatma Gandhi University to appear in person before the Court on March 28 in connection with a contempt of court case.

The contempt of court petition was filed by Antony of Kottayam.

According to him, despite the Court order not to publish the rank-list of candidates for the post of Assistant Grade, the University published the list. The Court had restrained the University from publishing the rank-list while granting permission to it to conduct the written test.
