Conference for CMC elections

RAICHUR: The Raichur City Block Congress Committee has decided to hold a conference here on March 24 to prepare party workers to face the coming elections to the Raichur City Municipal Council.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Basawaraj Reddy, president of the Raichur city unit of the party, said that there was a need to strengthen the party and mobilise workers as the elections to the Raichur City Municipal Council might be held any time.

He said that the party has done all preliminary preparations for the conference. All the elected representatives and MPs of the party in the district would attend it. He said it would highlight the inefficiency of the Janata Dal (Secular)-Bharatiya Janata Party coalition Government in the State in protecting the interest of the farmers and agricultural labourers.
