KADAPA: Rajampet police unravelled the mystery behind the brutal murder of SSC student Nagolu Padmaja (16) on Rajampet railway station road on March 16 by arresting two youths -- Merigereddy Rajasekhara Reddy (23), her relation and his friend Bala -- on Tuesday. Talking in a press conference Superintendent of Police Y. Nagi Reddy said Merigereddy Reddy, who served imprisonment in an extortion case at Tsundupalle police station in 2003, harassed her. As he kept forcing her to marry him, her father Lakshmi Reddy shifted her to Rajampet as her SSC exam was approaching, the SP said. Merigereddy Reddy, a vagabond, allegedly killed her with a sword, the SP explained. His friend, Bala, a mechanic, who supplied the sword , was arrested on charges of abetment.
