Barclays, ABN confirm merger talks

NEW DELHI: Barclays and Dutch rival ABN AMRO on Tuesday confirmed they were in `exclusive' talks for a potential merger of their worldwide businesses. If the deal fructifies, Barclays could jump into the league of top three foreign banks in India.
