Colleges to re-open on June 1

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Junior and composite degree colleges in the State will re-open on June 1 after the summer vacation, beginning March 20, the last working day.

A press release issued by R.P. Sisodia, Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education, said here on Tuesday that no college should conduct any classes except in cases where the Commissioner of Intermediate Education, Secretary of APSWREI Society and Director of Tribal Welfare have instructed the conduct of summer coaching classes. He advised the colleges not to proceed to make any admissions for the academic year 2007-08 by way of entrance test or any other tests. No junior college should start admissions until the admission schedule is announced by the board.

The release warned any violation of the directive would be punishable as per rules.
