All set for Dhauli mahotsav

BHUBANESWAR: The stage has been set for the 4th annual edition of the Dhauli mahotsav, national festival of dance and music, at Shanti Vihar on the foothills of the historic Dhauli hills near here from March 25 to 27.

The three-day event is being organised by Bhubaneswar-based Orissa Dance Academy in association with Orissa Tourism, Konark Natya Mandap and Utkal Atma cultural organisations.

The inaugural evening on Sunday will kick off with Odissi dance composition `Pancha Mahabhuta' by the artistes of Orissa Dance Academy followed by Bharatnatyam presentation by Charulatha Jayaraman from Trichy. The other performances of the evening will be group Odissi dance by Bhubaneswar-based Lalita Kala Pitha troupe and Bajasal folk dance by Mahabir Sanskrutik Parishad, Kalahandi.

Buddha Samman

Buddha Samman-2007 will be presented to veteran actor, director and theatre personality Kasinath Sahu on the occasion.
