Lawyers Forum for steps to end LPG scarcity

BERHAMPUR: Berhampur Lawyers' Forum handed over a memorandum at the sub-collector's office on Tuesday demanding immediate steps to end shortage of domestic LPG refill shortage in the city. Led by its secretary, M.Patnaik, the lawyers threatened to start agitation if the alleged artificial scarcity of LPG refills was not checked soon.

Mr Patnaik said that although the Union Petroleum Ministry had claimed there was no shortage of LPG in the country, the inhabitants of the city were not finding it easy to get an LPG refill.

The lawyers alleged that slackness of the administration had led to this artificial scarcity of LPG refills in the city.
