Sangareddy: Medak District Educational Officer Laxma Reddy has asked division-level sitting squads not to reveal details of invigilators of the SSC examination in 46 examination centres identified as troublesome. Section 144 will be implemented in the vicinity of these centres and all photocopying shops have been ordered to down their shutters during examination time. In a press release, he advised the squads not to tolerate malpractice and initiate stern action against such students there and then. The DEO completed orientation classes for the squad members in Siddipet and Medak. Fifty-seven squads consisting of 171 members would supervise the examinations. The number of sitting squads increased from 50 of last year to 57 this year. In addition, nine flying squads would be moving around the district for additional support.
225 centres
The examination would be conducted in 225 centres in the district and 46,000 students would write the examination. As many as 225 chief superintendents, 225 departmental officers and 2,500 invigilators had been deployed. The DEO said that in 35 centres, there was shortage of furniture. However, efforts were being made to address the problem. He asked students and their parents to call 9849909117 to make any complaint.
