Cellular technology awareness meet

CHENNAI: Srinivasa Institute of Engineering and Technology is organising a State-level conference of mobile phone companies at the Abirami Chidambaram Auditorium on Friday. The seminar aims to create awareness about cellular technology.

College day celebrated

"Women of this age make impossible things possible," K.N. Basha, Judge, Madras High Court said at the college day celebrations of the Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women. He said that women should develop self-confidence, courageousness and conviction in their endeavours. Moosa Raza, Chairman, SIE Trust, Sanjida Haris, Principal of JBAS College, also spoke.

Dental health camp

Profession tax deadline March 31

Chennai Corporation has asked profession tax assessees to pay the levy for the second half of 2006-07 before March 31.

In a press release, it said the payment had to be made either through cheque or demand draft drawn in favour of `Revenue Officer, Corporation of Chennai'. Payments after March 31 would attract penalty.
