Madikeri: The Department of Information and Karnataka State Temperance Board have been jointly organising awareness programmes in the rural areas of Virajpet taluk in Kodagu for the last few days on the adverse effects of untouchability and alcoholism, an official press release said here on Tuesday. Awareness was being created with the help of street plays, documentary films and songs, it said.
